My friends & their boyfriends

Was talking to my friend abt the boyfriend issue earlier on.
If I'm to be introduced to them, I must get prepared mentally.
I don't like the idea of having awkward moments if it's gonna be 3 of us.
Imagine that. (Like what am i supposed to talk abt? Clothes? Studies? Weather?)

I can't gossip with my friend in front of him
That will put both of us in bad light
& what if I'm become the forbidden friend?
Goodness, I don't wna be the topic for quarrel.

I can't be too friend-friend with him as well.
Imagine the couple quarrelled, whose side am I supposed to take man?
Then what if my friend don't like the way I interact with her bf.

Therefore, my take on this is: Better be safe than not.

The Pros & Cons of CNY

Pros:

1) You get paid to sit there and do nothing (apart from saying Gong Xi Gong Xi)

2) You get free meals as long as you brought oranges

3) You get free rides to places because there're bound to be people with cars

4) You get to hold an annual catch-up/meeting sessions with your relatives/cousins/grandparents/aunties/uncles & whatsoever

Cons:

1) You get fat with all the eating of snacks & food (like Yusheng & steamboat)

2) You have to answer all the possible questions they can think of (inclusive of relationships,career & studies issues)

3) You get bored and have nothing to do if you have awkward moments with those relatives esp you come from a dsyfunctional family (like me - can't possibly imagine myself in a happy family situation)

4)Everything is expensive during CNY ( Cab fares, movie tickets, food)

5) You can't flare up because it's CNY ( not good for you in terms of luck at all)

Well I think I have a love-hate relationship with CNY.
